Pop-Up Shop
The Pop-Up Bookshop and Art Gallery stocks new books including authors appearing at the Festival, courtesy of Waterstones, Inverness, pre-loved books available for a donation, cards and prints by local artists for sale, and exhibitions of work entered into the School Art Competition and Pro-Loco Competition. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite piece in each competition. Several Pop-Up Authors will also Pop Up throughout the week in the bookshop.
Committee Members are always on hand, together with some of our fantastic team of volunteers. Pop in, say hi, browse the books, buy Festival tickets and enjoy the atmosphere. We are looking forward to meeting you there!

Pop Up Community Groups
As well as our band of volunteers popping up at the Tain markets each month we welcome community groups to pop up during the festival to set up on Tain High Street.
If you would like a stall during the run of the festival then please contact us.

Pop Up @ Tain Library
Visit Tain Library between 3-30 and 4.30 on Friday 12th September for a children’s event. A Scavenger Hunt and Storytelling for children of all ages. Fun filled hour in the beautiful Carnegie Library, Tain. Free entry, open to all

Did you know that at each of our evening live author events the audience is entertained with live music? This year is no exception. We will be welcoming local musicians to delight audiences with their artistry.

Back by popular demand following the Poetry Slam of 2024, this Open Mic Session encourages everyone who has a song, poem, or story to tell to turn up, get up, and give it a go! Bring your own work, or perform someone else’s, this will be a cracking good night and just the thing to get everyone in the mood for Festival Week.
