Tains Own Launches the Festival

'Son of Tain' - Gordon Morrison of Morrison Construction launched the festival events on Thursday evening at the Carnegie Lodge Hotel, Tain.

Introduced by Sandy MacGregor, Gordon officially declared the festival open and went on to talk about 'The Morrison Story' which was published in 2019.

Gordons talk was a snap shot of the fascinating story of his father, Alex Morrison, and the business he created from 'a germ of a idea in captivity during the 2nd World War, to a fledgling business in Easter Ross, Highlands.'

We were delighted when local musician, Ruairidh Gollan became a part of our festival and played at each of the evening events throughout the festival.

Window Art

We love the window art designed and applied by local volunteer Clair Wallace. A beautiful addition to Tain High Street.
