Iona of the East

Away from the hustle and bustle of the A9 and regular tourist routes is an outstanding local museum of national importance and described as” the Iona of the east”. Tarbat Discovery Centre can be found in Tarbat Old Parish Church on the southern edge of Portmahomack, in Easter Ross. For centuries this area was the heart of a thriving Pictish society that left many traces behind. Visit Tarbat Discovery Centre and prepare to be amazed at the wealth of exhibits on view and the expertise of the staff. This is a thrilling venue for one of our most exciting, award-winning authors. An event not to be missed!

Window Art

We love the window art designed and applied by local volunteer Clair Wallace. A beautiful addition to Tain High Street.
