Meet & Greet at Gro For You

Fran Smee is a retired teacher of physical education and history. Her Fran's Van series of children's books reflect her interest in family, in community and her native Scotland. Her debut novel “A Better End” explores the same themes but at the other end of the age range.

The landscapes of Scotland are a vital backdrop playing an important role in grounding her writing. Her characters drive her writing and are developed through dialogue,

Fran lives in the far north east of Scotland where she and her husband are renovating an original croft house, not helped by their daft terrier Millie.
