Picturing The Story

Updated: Aug 30, 2023

Highland artist and Storyteller, Lizzie McDougall has come to our rescue with a family friendly and free event as part of the St Duthac Book and Arts Festival.

Lizzie is replacing the Margot Henderson events, which have been cancelled due to illness. Lizzie will be sharing some of the traditional stories she has gathered around the Moray Firth and illustrated in her Highland Story Quilts.

She will also bring some art materials so children can make pictures of the stories too, and some colouring-in illustrations from the book she illustrated for Elizabeth Sutherland’s Collection of Highland Tales .

Saturday 16th September

12 noon - 1 pm

Tain Library (Stafford Street, Tain IV19 1AZ)

Window Art

We love the window art designed and applied by local volunteer Clair Wallace. A beautiful addition to Tain High Street.
