Strong Foundations

This Carnegie Hall may not be as grand as its namesake in New York but it is just as important to the beautiful seaside village of Portmahomack. It is a hundred years or more since the foundation stone was laid by Mrs. Andrew Carnegie. The grand opening was in 1902 with a dance and concert and is still at the centre of Portmahomack’s social and cultural life.

During the St Duthac Book and Arts Festival the Carnegie Hall will be hosting our first satellite Art Exhibition and Pro-Loco event from the 15th - 17th September. Check our pages for all of the details.

Window Art

We love the window art designed and applied by local volunteer Clair Wallace. A beautiful addition to Tain High Street.
