Community At Heart

This venue on Shandwick Street, Tain, was built in 1814 as a church and remained as a church until 1940’s when it was taken over by Tain Town Council and became the Town Hall. It was refurbished in 1976 and renamed The Duthac Centre. With seating for up to 400 people The Duthac Centre hosts a wide range of Social, Arts, Sports, Music, Dance and Wedding functions. We are delighted, once again, to invite a hugely popular interactive drumming workshop here for the youngsters (and also not so young folk!) on Saturday 16th September in the afternoon and one of Scotland’s leading writers of historical fiction on Saturday evening. Check out our website and brochure to find out who the author is. Don’t forget to book your tickets in advance.

A huge thank you goes to all our funders: and supporters of the St Duthac Book and Arts Festival.   In 2024 we were supported by the Scottish Book Trust: Birlinn Ltd: Beinn Tharsuinn Windfarm Community Fund (accessed through Edderton Community Council and Kilmuir and Logie Easter Community Council): Balnagown Estate: Port of Cromarty Firth: Global Energy Group: Glenmorangie Distillery, The Royal Hotel, CCAST and Tain YMCA, Thank you to TDDT for their continued support and to DUFI ART, Tain, for beautiful brochures, banners and posters. Thanks also to all businesses who have placed an advert in the Festival brochure; your support is much appreciated. Finally, to all the volunteers, sponsors, contributors, venues, local businesses, schools, councillors and individuals who support us in all sorts of ways, thank you, we really could not do it without you.
